Legends of Jazz with Ramsey Lewis is a 12 week, nationwide PBS show. The show is produced by the Chicago-based independent music entertainment company, LRSmedia. It began airing on PBS stations nationwide in April 2006. The series is the first weekly network television jazz show in 40 years.[1] Each themed episode features intimate conversations and original performancs by some of the worlds leading musicians. Grammy Award-winning composer/pianist Ramsey Lewis hosts the series, which is produced in multi-camera HDTV and Dolby Surround 5.1 audio.
