Legananny is a townland 4 km (2.5 miles) north of Leitrim, County Down, Northern Ireland and 10 km (6 miles) from Castlewellan. It contains the ancient dolmen which has stood for thousands of years. It is three large stones standing upright with a very large stone sitting on top of them. It borders four other townlands, these are: Benraw, Leitrim, Sleivenboly and Clonvaraghan. Legananny has a population of about 60 people, most of these being farmers. Slieve Garran is the main mountain in Legananny.
