Left Turn (magazine)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Left Turn is a collectively-run left-wing magazine, published in the United States. It is at the same time also a network of activists. It is based in New York City and in San Francisco. The magazine reports on and promotes grassroots activism in the United States and globally.
The magazine's origins lie in a split from the International Socialist Organization in at some point in 2001 or 2002. As an organization it was expelled from the International Socialist Tendency in 2003. This latter action left the IST with no affiliate in the United States. Its articles reflect an anti-capitalist, rather than Marxist or Trotskyist bent.
Its members have presented panels at the US Social Forum. [1] [2]
