Left Hand Path is the debut album from Entombed from 1990 that almost predefined the style of Swedish death metal. The guitars on the album were used with excessive amounts of distortion from the HM-1 effect, box by Boss, also popular in later Swedish death metal acts, which combined with the heavy riffs they play, made one of the heaviest albums. The liner notes give thanks to Nirvana but the band in question is actually the Swedish death metal band Nirvana 2002, not the famous grunge act.
