English: Photograph of Left Hand Bear, Oglala Sioux Chief, made at the 1898 Trans-Mississippi International Exposition, Omaha, Nebraska. Inscription in upper right reads "Left Hand Bear Chief." Inscription in lower right reads "408. Copyright 1899 by Heyn Photo Omaha". This digital image was transcribed from a hand-colored platinum photographic print, 15.5×12.5 in. The print was published in 1899 and was given to the Library of Congress by David A. Rector in 2007. The Library of Congress's uncompressed archival TIFF version was converted to JPEG by the Gimp.
