[edit] Status

Please note that in the "Status" infobox on the page of a person or character, "deceased" is the preferred terminology to use. --InShaneee 23:01, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Says who?

  1. This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Kungfu Adam (talk) 23:06, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Regarding your edits to James Bond infoboxes:

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text or spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, and repeated and blatant violation of WP:NPOV are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. --InShaneee 23:53, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nickname: "Rummy", not suitable for Wikipedia articles

I think for most people it goes with out saying that "Rummy" is not suitable for Wikipedia articles. It does appear on the Nixion Tapes. Elsewhere on the Intrernet and print media it is used either derogatory, or in levity, or both. On the Donald Rumsfeld article, you added "Rummy" to the lead identifier, I am reverting it back. I think, anyone placing "Rummy" — outside of a verifiable quote — should present their argument for including it on the Talk page first. --Charles Gaudette 17:38, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Pirate Name 3

That's actually been my argument all along; however, I consider USA Today to be a reliable source. RadioKirk (u|t|c) 12:23, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re Eleanor Rigby

I restored the Revolver track listing in Eleanor Rigby. Most of the other songs that appear on the original Beatle albums have track listings in the infobox, and the trend is toward that, not away. John Cardinal 14:57, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy Deletion of Addictinggames

A tag has been placed on Addictinggames, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Jeodesic 00:23, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] England/UK

I'm not denying that England is erroneously used when the speaker really means the UK, but this is a confusing space for which an article already exists: British Isles (terminology). Putting all the mistakes people make into the opening sentence would take up far too much space, and therefore it is better to stick to what is correct. Pointing out mistakes is also not really what an encyclopaedia is about. The Red Hat of Pat Ferrick t 02:09, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] FSM

I removed your recent edit to the FSM article since it appeared to be original research. JoshuaZ 18:21, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Notability of Square One (band)

A tag has been placed on Square One (band), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -WarthogDemon 21:39, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
