[edit] Hi
Thanks for the comments on the CHP - you're right, irreligious is too strong and you're also right to point out that Christians and Jews (as well as the business éite) have only moved the CHP since the decline of the secular centre-tight
PS - don't be afraid to put in these corrections yourself! That's what wikipedia is all about. After all you are closer to the situation than I am, although I will be in Istanbul again in late September. Kendinize çok iyi bakin. Gerry Lynch 09:50, 16 Jul 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Translation help needed
Could you help out with Kartal anadolu imam hatip lisesi? If it's not worth salvaging, could you just drop a note on Wikipedia:Pages needing translation into English? It's been listed there as untranslated from Turkish after 12 days. -- Jmabel | Talk 01:02, Oct 21, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Thanx
Thanks for warning, I really made a big mistake about Beşiktaş JimNastik Kulubu. And can you explain me how to write a mesage to users? Erginer 16:07, Nov 30, 2004 (UTC)
- You're welcome. In fact, this is the way to write a message to users. You could also send e-mails to users using the link provided on the left column, if they have specified any e-mails, that is. If you want to leave messages to users about a certain article, you could as well do it on the article's talk page that you can reach by following the "discuss this page" link provided again at the column on the left. I made some more minor changes on the Besiktas Jimnastik Kulubu article, like tidying up the grammar, etc., and I will try to do more later. --leandros 22:35, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
- Multi-Licensing FAQ - Lots of questions answered
- Multi-Licensing Guide
- Free the Rambot Articles Project
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
- Option 1
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
- Option 2
- I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
- DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)
[edit] Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Sunbul Effendi
Hi Leandros - as a Turkish wikipedian, I am seeking your comments on Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Sunbul Effendi. As it the article topic is related to Turkey, I assume Turkish Wikipedians are more likely than most to know whether the article is Wikipedia-worthy --AYArktos 00:15, 9 May 2005 (UTC)
[edit] List of country names in various languages under attack !!!
Dear Yusuf,
The List of country names in various languages, List of European regions with alternative names, List of European cities with alternative names, List of European rivers with alternative names, and others, have come under attack by a certain Mikka, who, having just stumbled into all these lists, having found them of little use to himself, and having repeatedly ridiculed them and their users, has then promptly filed a petition to delete the lists in question.
Please cast your vote to keep these valuable, informative, and indeed fascinating lists at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of country names in various languages.
Thanks! Pasquale 16:36, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Gracia Mendes Nasi
Yusuf, I moved Doña Gracia Mendes Nasi to Gracia Mendes Nasi. I'd like to fix the double redirect on your user page, but I feel uncomfortable doing that without permission. → (AllanBz ✍) 05:18, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Justification article
Hi,
I noticed that you appeared in the edit history of the justification (theology) article. I recently made major changes to the article in an effort to move it to NPOV. If you have any suggestions for improvement (style, content, whatever), please leave a comment on the talk page for that article. The goal is to get the article to the point that the POV and cleanup templates can be removed.
Thanks, --jrcagle 20:17, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Help
I'm trying to place an image (a party emblem) from the Turkish wikipedia which is:
into an English wikipedia article: Nation Party (Turkey), but I cannot get the syntax correct.--leandros (talk) 12:22, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- Have you uploaded the image to the English Wikipedia yet? Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 12:26, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- Actually no, since it's not an image I originally uploaded to the Turkish wiki. I was trying to figure out a way to incorporate it with wiki markup.--leandros (talk) 12:34, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- You have to uploaded it to the English Wikipedia first. I will do this for you. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 12:34, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- I uploaded the image at Image:Ckmp.jpg, giving credit to the original uploader. Since it's a copyrighted (presumably) logo, I would assume that I don't have to get the permission of whoever uploaded it to the Turkish Wikipedia. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 12:40, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you; that would mean, it's not possible through syntaxing.--leandros (talk) 18:50, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
