I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Collaborative software. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please stop. If you continue spamming you will be blocked from editing. Veinor (ヴエノル(talk)) 19:42, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Answering your question

You wrote:

I received criticism for adding several links to our website for conference call services. I do not understand since there are already related links on "Conference call" to the URLs of competitive services. Why can they provide those links and I cannot?

A couple of things to point out: The comments above include links to detailed explanations of policies and guidelines that may apply. Exceptions are often made for non-commercial (non-profit) sites, which seems to be the case in Conference call. I realize it the comments above can seem quite threatening, but the editors are trying to help both you and the wiki at the same time. All the guidelines and policies can seem to be quite overwhelming. I hope you won't let your first experience here prevent you from making further contributions. --Ronz 02:15, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:LeaderLogo-200.png

Thanks for uploading Image:LeaderLogo-200.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:33, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Spam After a long time

You seem to be under the impression that the rules for wikipedia have changed since 2006. Just to refresh your memory you should read: WP:NOT, WP:SPAM. Thank you Andante1980 (talk) 06:03, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Please don't remove the tags placed on your articles. That only serves to reinforce the impression that you are here only to promote your company. To redeem your articles, please follow the procedures as outlined in the deletion tags. Thank you. Andante1980 (talk) 06:12, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because your account name matches a person, service, company, product or website which you're promoting.
This is often not a reflection on the user, and you are encouraged to choose a new account name which does meet our guidelines and are invited to contribute to Wikipedia under an appropriate username. If you feel this block was made in error, you may quickly and easily appeal it - see below.

Our username policy provides guidance on selecting your username. In brief, usernames should not be offensive, disruptive, promotional, related to a 'real-world' group or organization, confusing, or misleading.

If you have already made edits and wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name you may request a change in username which is quick and easy. To do so, please follow these directions:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use. The account is created upon acceptance – do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change since we can far easier allocate your new name to you, if it is not yet used. Usernames that have already been taken are listed here. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username.
Last, the automated software systems that prevent vandalism may have been activated, which can cause new account creation to be blocked also. If you have not acted in a deliberately inappropriate manner, please let us know if this happens, and we will deactivate the block as soon as possible. You may also appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 06:18, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
