[edit] Wrong Image?

Looks like the image here the same as the image of a Stoat? Roddyp 12:53, 9 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] smallest living carnivore?

Should that say "smallest carniverous mammal" or something? Otherwise, what about spiders? 67.117.130.181 21:03, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] references?

I'd like to see a reference, at least, for the Wind In The Willows assertion. Needs references, generally.

Yeah, that and "most literary references to weasels are in fact to the Least Weasel." Somehow I don't think a reference for that statement will turn up though. Remove?--Eloil 15:56, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Not the smallest mammalian carnivore, either.

The smallest Mammal, the Etruscan Shrew, is a carnivore, and it's only a fraction the size of any mustelid. I've changed the page to reflect this.

BTW, if you're going to say that a creature is the smallest or largest anything, you should mention its actual size somewhere in the article.

If you meant "smallest member of the order Carnivora" you should, I think, have written that.

Since the link for carnivore was pipe-linked to Carnivora not carnivore, it is probable that was what was meant. Dsmdgold 01:31, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
But wouldn't that make the word "mammalian" in "mammalian carnivore" redundant?CarlFink 15:20, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
