"Leave (Get Out)" is a pop rock–R&B song written by Soulshock, Kenneth Karlin, Alexander Cantrell and Philip "Silky" White for American singer-songwriter JoJo's debut album, JoJo (2004). Released in February 2004 as the album's lead single, the Soulshock & Karlin-produced track became an international hit, peaking at number twelve on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number two in the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. In addition, it went gold by the RIAA in late October 2004.
When the single reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Top 40 Mainstream, JoJo became, at age thirteen, the youngest solo artist to have a number-one single in the United States and also the youngest nominee for a MTV Video Music Award, when its music video (directed by Erik White) was nominated for "Best New Artist" in 2004.
In 2006, a Singapore Idol contestant, Gayle Nerva, sang this song in Spectacular 2 but was voted out in the same round.
