Papi Molotsane was appointed to the Board and as chief executive officer in September 2005. Prior to joining Telkom (South Africa), he was group executive of Transnet from February 2003 to August 2005 and chief executive officer of Fedics from January 1999 to January 2003.
Molotsane has a broad-based professional background in engineering, systems, operations, sales, marketing and human resources. Molotsane is currently a director of South Africa's America's Cup Challenge and a director of Vodacom. Previously he acted as a director of Arivia.kom, and Fike Investment (Pty) Limited.
Molotsane has a Bachelor of Science in Business Services, a Bachelor of Engineering Technology and Master of Science in Business Administration. Molotsane also completed the Stanford Executive Programme in the USA.
