Leader of the Band

"Leader of the Band" is a song written by Dan Fogelberg in tribute to his musician father.
The first appeared in the album The Innocent Age, released in October 1981. Released as a single at the end of the year, it did quite well, climbing to number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Lucie Arnaz performs a version of the song as a tribute to her late father, Desi Arnaz.
