User talk:Le Grand Roi des Citrouilles/Archive 6
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello from User:MurderWatcher1
I see that you have edited a page that I have created, one for Jennifer Moore. I decided to do a quick check of your user page and I'm pleased that you're concerned when an editor's work is about to be deleted. This is currently occurring on [[1]] where you will see my UserName and the discussions of the pages that I have created. I would appreciate a positive comment from you on that page, of course, when you've seen what I have tried to do with the Imette St. Guillen, Jennifer Moore, Ramona Moore and Chanel Petro-Nixon references. While I didn't create Imette's page, I did become involved in her case, as you will see from my userpage. Thank you for any help that you can provide to me.User:MurderWatcher1 (Manually time stamping at 5:35 p.m. EST as the toolbar isn't working for me for some reason). —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 21:36, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

- Thank you for your input on the Administrators' Page. It is greatly appreciated. It is interesting that they will delete my work and yet, there is a page being mentioned on that same discussion reference on the History of Pedophilia! They have this up there and they want to delete my work? 'Let's have some sanity on this forum' is my argument. Again, thank you. Your comment means much to me.--MurderWatcher1 16:44, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

My recent RfA
Thank you for supporting my RfA, which unfortunately didn't succeed. The majority of the opposes stated that I needed more experience in the main namespace and Wikipedia namespace, so that is what I will do. I will go for another RfA in two month's time and I hope you will be able to support me then as well. If you have any other comments for me or wish to be notified when I go for another RfA, please leave them on my talk page. If you wish to nominate me for my next RfA, please wait until it has been two months. Thanks again for participating in my RfA! -- Cobi(t|c|b|cn) 01:55, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Dear Cobi, you are welcome and I am sorry it did not work out. Good luck next time around and have a wonderful weekend! Sincerely, --Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 01:57, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

AFD Comments
Several times I've seen you urge us to keep articles simply because the article "looks good" or "is really well put together". It would be much more helpful if you would actually consider our requirements for deletion/inclusion, and actually comment on those points. The aesthetics of an article have no relevance. Thanks. /Blaxthos 22:04, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

RfA thank-spam
Thank you! Thank you for your help in my RfA. It hammered home a few things I need to keep in mind while admining and passed with a final tally of 40/0/4; two people forgot to vote in time, leaving me short of that exquisite number :-(, but I'll just have to fudge the next vote about me. Adminship feels slightly august but not particularily exalted, so I shall endeavour to consider it a toolkit and make sincere efforts to know what I'm doing before using it. Additional parties to ArbCom case
I see you've just proposed a block of User:RobJ1981, User:Eyrian, and User:Dannycali as a remedy in the Alkivar case. Please be sure to leave a courtesy notice on their talk page or otherwise make sure they're aware. I'm not sure what the rule is but my understanding is that's customary. Thanks, Wikidemo 16:26, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

- Okay - I did mention this at AN/I though. I don't want to get involved in this aspect of things, which does not concern me, but it seems best to follow protocol. Further, you may want to blank the evidence you presented and ask that it be deleted from the history, per Durova. I'm going to comment it out for now as a courtesy but I'm not taking a position on it either way, just suggesting you think twice....if you still want it there don't let me stop you. Wikidemo 16:45, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I won't comment it out because that could be misconstrued. But please do think it over.Wikidemo 16:47, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Comment
Similar opinions doesn't mean the same person, so stop being paranoid. This is bad faith on your part, and just a way to get me in trouble. This type of behaviour needs to stop, as it's disruptive and just plain ignorant. People have every right to disagree with you, that doesn't mean they are meat or sock puppets. RobJ1981 00:55, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- Bad faith is posting this immature nonsense after being asked politely to leave me alone and after I voluntarily gave AfDs a rest for a couple days just to get you off my back. For someone who frequently posts repetitive "I don't like" comments to have the audacity to suggest all the lies you have suggested about me is just out of control. You have been hounding me for months now. Stop already. Whatever interest you have in me stops now. DO NOT COMMENT TO OR ABOUT ME AGAIN. PERIOD. I have offered you many olive branches and I tried avoiding you. If you are going to contribute to this project productively fine, but it's not your business to fixate on one editor and to comment on everything he does over the span of several months assuming bad faith over and over and over again. Had you respected me offer to mediate later this month, or to work together on an article to ease tensions, or just agree to disagree, I would have kept my evidence of your proxy editing to myself and let it go, but YOU went ahead and didn't just bring me to ANI, you kept posting there even after two admins said the matter was resolved. Sincerely, --Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 06:30, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:PlayStation 2 NTSC SingStar games.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:PlayStation 2 NTSC SingStar games.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Consensus can change
Instead of using the tired excuse of "it survived a previous AFD", come up with actual reasons. You should read Wikipedia:Consensus#Consensus_can_change for more information. People have mentioned that page to you before, but you choose to ignore it, which is bad faith. Wikipedia isn't an anarchy, policies exist for a reason and shouldn't be ignored. RobJ1981 (talk) 04:26, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
-
- Consensus can change in either direction. For example, it is now accepted that popular culture material is not usually trivia, as bourn out by many discussions not just on AfD but elsewhere in Wikipedia. Consensus also is changing to understand that frequently repeated AfDs are damaging to the work of building the encyclopedia., though I for one would like to see it change yet further in that regard, and require Deletion Review to begin a new AfD after a keep, as it is after a delete. Fair's fair in both directions. DGG (talk) 07:00, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
- By the way, I hope that everyone had a pleasant Thanksgiving. We had some bad weather here, but I did enjoy some nice food and quality time with my family and I hope that y'all were able to do the same. Best, --Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 07:21, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Stop flooding the AFD
All your "see this" comments here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Mortal Kombat arenas, are disruptive and not needed. Post it once, and leave it at that. Numerous posts of the same thing in a debate is a bit out of hand. Also, read up on cruft more. It doesn't mean "I don't like it" each and everytime, so stop assuming it does. RobJ1981 (talk) 19:08, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hear, Hear! I've replied to you cut-and-paste comments in the AfD. Briefly, I can't figure out what it is you are trying to say. Perhaps you ought to make *one* comment in the AfD explaining your thoughts in full sentences, rather than repeatedly pasting the same linktext spam after each of the !votes that you disagree with. Best regards, Pete.Hurd (talk) 21:25, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Pete! The calling it "cruft" aspect of arguments tend to be weak and not taken seriously and I thought I would be helpful for those whom I haven't seen too much of in discussions by good faith providing a link to a popular article that many editors tend to post in those discussions. Best, --Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 21:27, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
- So I said
"entirely in-universe indiscriminate list of game cruft items. No encyclopedic analysis, no evidence of reliable secondary sources providing evidence of notability. Sole reference is gamespot interview which fails to support the article where it needs supporting"
"entirely in-universe indiscriminate list of game items. No encyclopedic analysis, no evidence of reliable secondary sources providing evidence of notability. Sole reference is gamespot interview which fails to support the article where it needs supporting"
- Yes, omitting the "cruft" word does help to make your argument read less like a typical rapid posting on these discussions (some people manage to troll through AfDs and post rapid "delete, cruft" comments sometimes in several discussions even in under a minute! So, the "cruft" word tends to be regarded as weak, hence its specific mention in the arguments to avoid essay). If you are open-minded to suggestions, I would also capitalize "GameSpot" and avoid indiscriminate, especially because the article obviously has a central theme for inclusion. Your point about needing analysis and additional references is valid, but again, I think that is something that people should be encouraged to fix. Anyway, thank you for the cordial dialogue! Sincerely, --Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 22:09, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Just a suggestion: say something once, and people might pay attention to you. Say it twenty times, and all people will notice is that you're repeating yourself. Don't let your method overwhelm your message. Kelly Martin 05:58, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
