i grew up in a suburb of minneapolis, minnesota. i went to college at brown university and majored in neuroscience, music, and philosophy, graduating in 2003. currently i'm a grad student at stanford university, in the neurosciences phd program working with fMRI. in my spare time, i enjoy early simpsons, listening to classical and experimental music, playing piano and flute, trying to learn cello and guitar, studying languages, exercise, political/social activism, scrabble, and vegetables.
