Le sept - dix
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Le sept - dix ("The Seven - Ten") is the name of the main weekday morning news programme broadcast by France Inter, the French public-service generalist radio network. Consisting of news bulletins, background reports, commentaries, press reviews, interviews, and a phone-in debate with listeners, it goes out every weekday between 7.00 and 10.00 (hence the name).
At weekends the programme is replaced by Le sept - neuf du samedi and Le sept - neuf du dimanche which give greater coverage to leisure-time pursuits.
The programme's main presenter since 2006 has been Nicolas Demorand. His predecessor, Stéphane Paoli, and the programme's chief commentary writer, Bernard Guetta, were criticized for backing the "yes" option during the 2005 European Constitution referendum campaign. As a result, Paoli became the whipping-boy of far-left groups.[citation needed]
