The village has a restaurant, 2 bars, an Epicerie, chacuterie and a Petite Marche. The locals are very friendly. Claude runs the bar and is very involved in the local Football (soccer) scene. Annick runs the Epicerie and is able and willing to speak a little English. The boulangerie has the best and biggest eclairs in the region. There is a boarding house for the area's police in the village which means they have a talented football team. There are many great roads to ride bikes or walk and one of our favourite holiday activities is to pick berries from the hedgerows and mushrooms from the fields. There are many farms in the area that grow corn, cattle and beautiful apples. The walking paths are recorded in maps available from the TOurist office in La Souterraine or Gueret.
