"Le Casse de Brice" is a 2005 song recorded by the French comedian and actor Jean Dujardin. It is the soundtrack of the James Huth's 2005 film, Brice de Nice, in which Dujardin portrayed Brice Agostini. Released as his first solo single on March 2005, the song reached the top five in Belgium (Wallonia) and France.
The song used a sample from George Benson's song "Gimme the Night", which was also sampled in 1994 by the French band IAM for their number-one hit "Je danse le Mia".
The music video was directed by John Gabriel Biggs. It is composed of various images from the film.
"Le Casse de Brice" features on many French compilations, such as Hit Machine 2005 Vol. 20, Now! Hits Référence 2005, Crazy Kids and Hits & Co 3.

[edit] Chart performances
On the French Singles Chart, the song debuted at #93 on March 26, 2005, before jumping to #14 the next week. Then it entered the top ten and reached #2 for three weeks, from May 7 to May 21. After it fell off the top ten, it dropped quickly, probably because Dujardin's next single, "Yellow, la leçon de casse", was released at the same time and contained it as the second track. It totaled 13 weeks in the top ten, 17 weeks in the top 50 and 25 weeks in the top 100.[1] It features at #18 on Annual Chart[2] and achieved Gold status (the song is credited to Bruno Coulais on the SNEP website).[3]
On the Ultratop 40 (Belgium, Wallonia), the single was charted for 21 weeks (14 in the top ten) from April 16 to September 3. It peaked at #4 in its seventh and ninth weeks. As in France, it kept on dropping after it came out the top ten.[4] It was the 14th best-selling single in this country.[5]
Although the song failed to reach the top ten on the Swiss Singles Chart, it had a long running of 32 weeks, (14 of them in the top 30), hitting #13 in its seventh week, on July 3.[6] The single appears at #56 on the End of the Year Chart.[7]
