Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme is a ballet made by George Balanchine to the Concert Suite (ca. 1917) of Richard Strauss with a libretto after Moliére. The premiere took place April 8th, 1979, with the New York City Opera, at the New York State Theater, Lincoln Center.
