[edit] About me

Casual to intense Wikipedian. I use the site to glean information for my personal edification, not for any schoolwork.

I don't often find articles I would change on Wikipedia. In fact, I have only found one page in several hundred (thousand?) that I really considered substandard. However, I personally knew too little about the subject to do more than add tags.

Reductionists and deletionists are a pox on the site in my opinion. If an article or section is unbalanced, then it should be balanced, not deleted. Just because one or a few people feel that a given article is irrelevent, or "not notable," does not mean that it is. Many others come to Wikipedia in search of information precisely because it is not available elsewhere. If you want to limit what goes in the encyclopedia, they may have an opening for you at Encyclopaedia Britannica or Encarta.
