[edit] Image:Lazer erazer.jpg

I am unsure why you chose an odd custom license for this image; however, the license is incompatible with the copyleft licensing of Wikipedia; in particular, your restrictions of "Images shall only be added to other articles after my confirmation" and "I have the right to remove my image from an article where I hadn't added it" are against our free copying, modification, and redistribution requirements. For these reasons it must unfortunately be deleted as a violation of Wikimedia's copyright policies. If you are willing to release it under a compatible license, we will gladly restore the image for you. --krimpet 17:31, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Would a Cc-by-sa-3.0 license be OK for Wikipedia? (How about derivates? commercial use? etc.?) --Lazer erazer 21:15, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Yes, CC-BY-SA is OK, and a common choice. (-ND (noderivs) and -NC (noncommercial) are prohibited however.) --krimpet 21:38, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. Could you please help me restore the Image then, licensed under CC-BY-SA-3.0? (I forgot to backup the description again *sorry*) --Lazer erazer 07:03, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] chess templates

ay,

I was also getting annoyed with the multiple templates for multiple sizes and never being able to find the one you needed. From this, i made some javascript to render add different types of chess templates off of many types of input. You should check it out, the use and ability has been documented on my talk page. let me know what you think. right now its more of a router to generate the correct template from the request, but it can easily be changed to use the images instead of directed to the template. this would remove the need for any template, it would just require adding enhancements to the javascript. I'd be up to doing this if you think it would be used \ is needed. MatthewYeager 17:02, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
