Hello anarthrous Lazar! Thanks for your comments to my IPA Guide. I like the symbols you propose (they are, I think, the same you were using on antimoon) because they do resemble the transcriptions already used; but I would also say they have the same problems. (Why is "fairy" transcribed with the same symbol as "dress" when for "distinguishers" they are in different phonemes?) They also seem to make a strange suggestion: that "ferry" and "fairy" differ phonetically only in the syllabicity of the r-like element after the vowel (feh-ree vs. feh-rrrr-ee).--Gheuf 14:41, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
