CBBC not CBeebies
Am I right in thinking that the show is shown on the BBC kids channel CBBC as opposed to being shown on the BBC toddlers channel CBeebies?? not sure, but iv seen it and i DONT watch CBeebies lol!! Woodgreener 17:09, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
It is being shown on CBeebies and simultaneously on BBC 2 at 7:30 AM. You can check the sked here [1]
Character stubs
Do the characters really merit their own separate stubs? I think the character descriptions should just be placed in this article. We should merge all the character articles with this one. --Eilu 03:38, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Well each of the actors while on the show DO appear in several different shows. I guess by your same thoughts, we should just move EVERY actor or actress appearing on every tv show onto it's same page right? They each have notability for different roles they are playing, while yes it is the same TV show, they are not the same people and they do perform in other things.Justadding 09:31, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Not to mention you've been on Wiki now for 14 days and your ready to take on something that isn't needed, is this vanity perhaps?Justadding 09:32, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
- What I meant was that for the character of "Stingy" for example, it will always just say "Stingy is a fictional character from the TV show LazyTown... he is a... blah blah blah." The article will not expand further than that, so it should probably just be merged with the main LazyTown article. I don't see what you mean by "vanity." --Eilu 02:09, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

History of Lazytown Puppetry
I saw the episode Secret Agent Zero today and Sportacus enters the mayors office and hears a voice. It is Robbie Rotten sitting at the mayor's desk... but not the normal Robbie Rotten we are used to seeing.
Disembodied voice, "So Mr. Sportacus, now we meet again .. at last."
Mayor's chair swivels around to reveal puppet version of Robbie Rotten.
"That's not real... that's a puppet," says Sportacus to the puppet.
The real Robbie Rotten jumps up from hiding to reveal that he is manipulating the puppet controls. "Yes, its a puppet, BUT i am real," he says.
It is clear that this is some sort of an inside joke. I have seen a website showing these puppets ( http://www.witpuppets.com/puppets.html ) . Are these the 'original' forms of the characters before the television show? If so, the article needs some additional information about the history of the whole LazyTown idea and its evolution from its inception. --Avanu 04:21, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
- That's a really interesting site - if that is true then the site and information should be added to the article. --Jelligraze 01:33, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- They are modeled on how they looked in Latibær. That's also why there's a policeman character. Wormy 14:57, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Stephanie is loli?
Maybe it should be mentioned in the article that Stephanie has aquired fanclub of older men who finds her loli, and draws cartoons and makes short music videos about her. 81.233.56.34 12:58, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
- There's plenty of fan based material on many television shows I'm sure, but that doesn't always mean they've had a big enough impact to warrant an edit. Until it does, there's not much of a reason to write anything about it. See Wikipedia:Notability. - Rudykog 18:47, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

- Just for examples of edited pictures. There's worse out there and the unedited video clips are also quite popular. For some people it may be because of the catchy songs and high energy, but for a lot of others, it's the loli quality of Stephanie (and I should point out, I think it's only the character Stephanie; the actress who plays her doesn't get this kind of attention). Whether or not it's notable yet, I can't say, but it's already fairly widespread and starting to become a YTMND and possibly 4chan meme. I think the notability comes from the fact that a lot of the popularity is centered on Stephanie, which is worthy of being mentioned in a factual context. - Insomniac By Choice 09:23, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- The disparity between Julianna and Stephanie's ages (Julianna(15), Stephanie (8)) probably has something to do with why the actress doesn't get the attention of the character.--Tricksterson 17:08, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- It most definitely has hit 4chan. Most of the posts involving Stephanie are lolicon in context. If the reference to 4chan is WP:N, then the reasoning behind it is as well. Roninbk 17:45, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- One important thing to keep in mind is that not all older LazyTown fans are inappropriately fixated on Stephanie. That makes up an (unfortunate) portion of the fan community, but there are plenty of adult fans that are not sexually obsessed with the underage star. It would be unfair to the community as a whole to even imply such a generalization. HamatoKameko 13:32, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Removed content from article
I'm referring directly to the removed text by an anonymous user ( 24.98.105.197 ) regarding Stephanie as a sex symbol, and a lack of citation referencing this fact. It may not be right, but it is certainly very, very easy to see that a good many people (outside of 4chan and ytmnd also) find Stephanie attractive and the amount of fan created material is, I feel, significant. What I /do/ agree on is that this should not be glamourised in the wiki, but noted in some tasteful way, and this is what I do think may be difficult to handle. Removing the content altogether is simply to ignore the culture surrounding LazyTown. --Piro RoadKill 14:19, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- as was indicated by the {{citeneeded}}, there is no source for the claim. please see WP:NOR, WP:VER. feel free to provide a reliable source and re-insert the claim. --24.98.105.197 00:47, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
- I accept this, please note I am not the one who wrote the addition and I am not the one who put it back. I'm merely discussing the relevance of it. -Piro RoadKill 14:34, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
my god man, ytmnd's are not a verifiable source. please see WP:NOR and WP:VER. i'm not going to get into an edit war over this. --24.98.105.197 20:35, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
My thoughts exactly. Examples do not equal a citeable source. Find me an article on this topic by a reputiable writer and then you have something. Krabstarr 14:52, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
This is something in the mold of Chuck Norris Facts where it's not going to be documented in a magazine for some time, despite its popularity. If you want to wait for it to come out in a "shocking expose" in a year or so, go ahead, but it doesn't make it any less real now. Of course, if you want I could go write a blog about it and link to that, which would be about as credible as a lot of sites referenced on these articles. -Insomniac By Choice
Chuck Norris Facts HAS been documented in magazines, and on TV by Chuck himself. Comparasion denied. Krabstarr 01:21, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
I didn't say that Chuck Norris Facts weren't documented. Sorry if you read it that way. I meant that it took a very long time for it to get recognized, even after it was wildly popular on the internet. Comparison status: valid. -Insomniac By Choice
Does anyone else notice that Stephanie kinda looks like Natalie Portman in some angles..... and...... in the movie Closer, Natalie Portmans character has pink hair, coincidentally like Stephanie....

Suicideknifer, did you accidentally remove the comment from User talk:EdisLeado? Removing comments from another user is considering vandalism. I also noticed that you put the link to getlazy.tk back into the article, and as it was pointed out above, that's a violation of copyright laws, so I'm going to take it out. I'm also removing the link to the Livejournal community for Lazy Town because it violates W:LINKS. Wikipedia policy is to not link to social networking sites, including LJ. Maybe you could find a reliable source that talks about Lazy Town fan clubs from an outsider perspective? Mikeliveshere 23:59, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Of little importance but...
Have you guys noticed that Robbie Rotten's disguises are usually fairly good, considering it's a childrens show? I mean if it wasn't for the fact that there are only three human characters in the show, it'd be a little though to tell that the guy was Robbie Rotten until he got around to trying to talk people into doing what he wants.. I still have trouble recognizing him as the pirate captain..--Vercalos 08:46, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Owl?
An owl character named "Hoo Hoo" was added to the Others section. While I have not seen that particular episode, I deleted it for now due to 2 things: 1. User who added is unregistered 2. Suggestive name of the owl. Also, does the Others section need to list one-off characters? Shouldn't it be only for recurring characters? Kat, Queen of Typos 23:17, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Vandalisim?
In the characters section, I found this line:
This show is very homosexual, and promotes immorral things for kids to do, like be lazy, and have homosexual fun!
LOL CAZ ROTE HERE
This states an opinion, not a fact, and therefore can be considered vandalisim.
P.S. Who is "LOL CAZ"?-BlakJak664 13:42, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
