Lazarus Bale is the main antagonist in the American comic book Kiss Kiss Bang Bang published by CrossGen Entertainment. Lazarus Bale is the tangential connection between Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and the Sigilverse.

Lazarus Bale was an Atlantean who opted to remain on Earth rather than undergo transition with the rest of his race in Atlantis over 10,000 years ago. Lazarus Bale is not his real name but was given to him by Doctor Tannhauser.
In 1936 the crew of a German U-boat, including a one Doctor Tannhauser, discovered Atlantean ruins on the bottom of the Atlantic. After eight years of studying murky photographs of the Atlantean language taken from the Atlantean ruins, and under the orders of the Fuhrer, Tannhauser lead a team back to the Atlantic to retrieve one of the Atlantean stasis tubes. This tube contained Lazarus Bale.
Bale was awoken from stasis sometime in 1944. Much of his history during this period is unknown but what is know is that he formed an organization known as Axis. Axis is known for its global enterprises having numerous proxies managing his various companies, including pharmaceutical companies. Also, sometime in the late 1940s early 1950s Bale cloned Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Hideki Tojo and Benito Mussolini. They refer to him as 'Papa' and seem to have a unique bond with each other.
Bale's ultimate plan was to infect the world with a deadly disease manufactured from Atlantean viruses that were retrieved from a tower that had survived the fall of Atlantis. His corporation Axis was to be the only company capable of providing a cure and consequently world domination.

Bale has never displayed any super human powers common to Atlanteans although he did at one point hypnotize MI6 Agent Stephanie Shelly, alluding to some kind of abilities and has displayed a sixth sense in which he has been able to avoid photographs being taken of him. Bale has displayed knowledge pertaining to genetics (as evidenced by his clones) and Atlantean diseases leading one to speculate that Bale may have been a doctor of some sort during the days of Atlantis.
