The Laz Angriff is a fictional robot in the Super Robot Wars series. Its upgrade is known as the Laz Angriff Raven. It has appeared as a playable unit in Super Robot Wars Advance, Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2, Super Robot Wars Original Generations and Super Robot Wars Original Generation Gaiden.

The Laz Angriff's name was changed to Rathgrith in the North American localization. The name Rathgrith is also the name of one of the many valkyries of Norse mythology.

The Laz Angriff, where Angriff is German for attack, is best described as a humanoid tank. It is painted mostly in red, with green-tinted cockpit panels and whitish gray highlights and its bulky, heavily armored appearance is designed to survive hits and return fire. The Laz Angriff's design is heavily based on the Dougram machines from Fang of the Sun Dougram. The Laz Angriff Raven would carry an additional flight pack, mounted along its shoulders, and carry a handheld rifle and shield, at all times. Its appearance closely resembles the Dragonar Custom units of Metal Armor Dragonar.

The Laz Angriff is Type-34 of the Valkyrie series of mobile weapons, developed from the Fylgia hovertank. Its design is based on the RGV-30 Randgrith and assigned the RGC-034 model number. The Shadow-Mirror would mass-produce this unit, after jumping from the Shadow-Mirror universe to the Original Generation dimension. Both Shadow-Mirror and Neo Divine Crusaders officers would utilize this machine, including the bioroid army of the Shadow-Mirror. Some of the more notable officers to use the Laz Angriff are Axel Almer, when his Soulgain was still in repair, and Yuuki Jaggar, after the unit is rolled out from the production line.

The Laz Angriff is equipped with various missile launchers, a main cannon using solid rounds, a handheld shield (available only in Advance), a beam coat, a missile jamming system, and a mecha-sized knife for use in emergencies or close combat situations. The Laz Angriff Raven removes the main cannon, in favor of two Linear cannons (like the one mounted on the Randgrith) and a beam launcher, built into the chassis.

Weapon Systems:

• Scissor Knife
  A survival knife scaled for use by a Personal Trooper, used to slash at enemies. In Advance, the animation features one slash, while in Original Generation 2, there are two slashes.

• Linear Missile Launcher
  A handheld four-barrelled rotary missile launcher. In Advance, the Laz Angriff utilizes two Linear Missile Launchers to attack. This has been cut down to one in Original Generation 2.

• Matrix Missile
  Mounted on the machine's shoulders, this weapon fires two missile containers, which break open to scatter smaller warheads at long-distance targets.

• Phalanx Missile
  This particular weapon is used to lay down a barrage of missiles in an area designated by the pilot. The missiles are accurate enough to deliver maximum damage concentrated on a single target, which was usable in Advance. However, Original Generation 2 changed the Phalanx Missile attack to a MAP weapon, capable of striking multiple enemy units.

• F-Solid Cannon
  The Laz Angriff extends a shoulder-mounted cannon to its full length and fires a high-powered round of energy at its target. The range for this cannon is greater than that of a battleship's main gun. The F in F-Solid Cannon stands for "Folding", as the barrel is folded back when the weapon is not in use.

  Similar to the Randgrith Raven's Linear Rifle, only with dealing more damage.

• Matrix Missile
  Mounted on the machine's wings, this weapon fires two missile containers, which break open to scatter smaller warheads at long-distance targets.

• Phalanx Missile
  This particular weapon is used to lay down a barrage of missiles in an area designated by the pilot.

• Anti-Ship Missiles
  Fires two missiles stored on the back that are specifically designed for anti-battleship warfare.

• Twin Solid Cannon
  Unfolding two hidden cannons in the Laz Angriff Raven's shoulders, the unit fires a quick barrage upon its target.

• Compressed Charged Particle Cannon
  Swinging a large cannon into posistion on the Laz Angriff Raven's right side, the unit locks onto its target from a mid-air posistion and opens fire with a massive energy blast that pierces the target.

Like most units created by the Shadow-Mirror, the Laz Angriff has a self-destruct option called Code ATA, which stands for "Ash To Ash".

While the Laz Angriff's name was changed to Rathgrith in the North American localization, the Rathgrith is actually the Type-33 of the Valkyrie series. The Type-33Kai Rathgrith Custom (Kai is the Japanese term for the kanji character, 改 ; in English, it means "modified" or "custom") was used by Selene Meneth, the protagonist in Super Robot Wars 64. While the Laz Angriff shares the same red color scheme with the Rathgrith Custom, their equipment is completely different.
