[edit] Television schedules

I replied to your post on my talk page. I've also raised the matter at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Television#Current_primetime_television_schedules.-gadfium 20:19, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for that, but at the time it seemed fitting to make one for TV2. I wouldn't like to cull them all: I could be put up for vandalism.

[edit] Freeview

I reverted your edit to Template:Freeview New Zealand. See point #9 in the "policy" section of WP:NONFREE; non-free images are not permitted in navigational templates. Please do not re-add the image. Thanks, Christopher Parham (talk) 16:25, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Freeview again

Laydan, I reverted your edits changing every instance of TV to television. Contractions are OK, and accepted usage. In this very same article you will see we do not spell out in full DVB-T, DVT, BBC, ITV, UK, DTG or PVR, and neither do we need to spell out TV. Cheers. Moriori 08:32, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Shortland Street

Laydan, if you look at the talk page for Shortland Street you'll see User:Drewcifer3000 said that our citations should use citation templates. Why did you remove them? I'm going to put them back. Liamodwyer13 05:12, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Re: Shortland Street

I gave the sources for Sam Thomas and Anna Henare citation templates, like this: Wikipedia:Citation templates

But you've just been going like this:

(ref)Text(/ref)

Do you want Shortland Street to be a good article or not? Liamodwyer13 05:31, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Shortland Street again

Laydan, Why has the actor's names been removed from Shortland Street all other programmes have the cast shown? Why did you remove them? I'll leave you to put them back. Rahotu 03:23, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Laydan, you will notice the boxes at the top of the Shortland Street asking for sections to be rewritten and for reliable references. At one stage I did rewrite the opening secton so that it wasn't written like an advertisement only to find when I looked again that it was changed back. Rahotu 02:46, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Laydan, you wrote on the history page 'we don't need to know where everyone works, as most of it is obvious' I have to agree there whoever reinstated Shortland Street and the like obviously does not check the history for the reason the changes are made. It looks like it is someone who has not registered (so to speak). I entered the American actress's name along with the reference source only to find it removed the other day and replaced with the word 'unknown'! Those who are identified by numbers we can't communicate with and that where I think the problem lies, don't you agree? Rahotu 02:04, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Laydan, Great to see that you have cleaned up the cast list I am hoping that nobody reinstates what's been removed. Incidentally I'm still working on rewriting the open paragraph.Rahotu 03:44, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hadlow

hey Laydan, I went to school with you, we both went to Hadlow in Masterton, but i moved to Auckland (thank god), do you remember who I am?!? (♠Taifarious1♠) 07:27, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Onecard

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Onecard, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] AfD nomination of Shortland Street Hospital

An editor has nominated Shortland Street Hospital, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shortland Street Hospital and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:00, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] New Zealand State Highway 1

Hi, I noticed that you blanked New Zealand State Highway 1, wanting to move this page to State Highway 1 (New Zealand). Blanking a page will not delete it, so I put a deletion tag {{db-move|State Highway 1 (New Zealand)}} on it. An admin will delete the page pretty soon so that it can be moved. Cheers! Cunard (talk) 04:41, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Request to move article State Highway 1 (New Zealand) incomplete

You recently filed a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move the page State Highway 1 (New Zealand) to a different title - however your proposal is either incomplete or has been contested as being controversial. As a result, it has been moved to the incomplete and contested proposals section. Requests that remain incomplete after five days will be removed.

Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:

  1. Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
  2. Added {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved, to automatically create a discussion section there.
  3. Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.

If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves or contact me on my talk page. - JPG-GR (talk) 05:15, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Carterton / Taratahi

I notice that you added the Maori name Taratahi to Carterton, New Zealand, but another editor has since removed it. Do you have a source giving Taratahi as the Maori name for the area. I am aware that Taratahi is used in several local institutions, and probably originates with the Taratahi block, which is partially described in a Waitangi tribunal report, p 57. However, that description applies equally to the Hikurewa block. Do you have a better reference? If so, please add it if you restore the name to the article.-gadfium 20:18, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] NZ highways

Hi - just wanted to show some appreciation for the work you've been putting in on NZ highways, turning the stubs I made into something far more comprehensive. It's good work - keep it up! :) Grutness...wha? 03:32, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wikimedia Commons

Thank you for uploading images/media to Wikipedia! There is, however, another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In the future, please consider creating an account and uploading your media there instead. That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view images you have previously uploaded by going to your user contributions on the left and choosing the 'image' namespace from the drop down box). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading!
