Talk:Laye Sow

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Re the above: Kim Francis, the managing director of Music Directions Ltd, has released the biography under the GFDL. She, as the artist's manager, wrote the biography as seen here and on the Womex website, which is to compile information about world music musicians. If further information/confirmation is needed please feel free to ask. - Fr3d org (talk) 20:07, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, but we are going to need official confirmation of that, not least because the Womex page still contains an assertion of copyright. I'm going to replace this page with instructions on how to proceed. CIreland (talk) 16:49, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks - I'll get a note added to that page, as Womex does not own the copyright to the biography - it was released under the GFDL. - Fr3d org (talk) 23:43, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
I've got the edit process in motion, but it will take a few days to go through, so please don't delete the article just yet - Thanks :-) - Fr3d org (talk) 23:01, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Should be done by end of this coming week starting 25th Feb - Fr3d org (talk) 22:31, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
The note releasing the biography under the GFDL (GNU Free Documentation License) has now been added - is this sufficient to allow the text to be re-produced on WikiPedia? Thanks. - Fr3d org (talk) 20:46, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
