Laxmi Ratan Shukla pronunciation (born May 6, 1981 in Howrah) is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler.
Shukla initially played in the Ranji Trophy in the 1997-98 season at which point he rose to prominence in the Indian under-19s for the MTN Youth World Cup in South Africa. He later played for Bengal in the Wills Trophy, in which they got to the semi-final.
In 2000 he was picked for the National Cricket Academy. Shukla is a steady middle-order batsman and medium-pace bowler.

Because of impressive performances in domestic level Shukla got a national call in 1999. He made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka on March 22, 1999 in Nagpur. But his international career was over without any major impact. He played his last ODI against West Indies in 1999 and never got another call.
