Lawrence Lister

Nugget (born Lawrence Lister on February 13, 1985 in long Island, New York) is a Male R&B singer who is well known in the industry. He is currently in discussions with numerous record labels and is poised to be the next big R&B sensation.

In his early years he was stricken with many unfortunate circumstances which pushed him to find his escape in music. Raised in the church by his grandmother, he developed a strong passion for singing and joined the choir. It was there he would receive the necessary skills to become a vocal phenomenon and a force to be reckoned with.
Noticed at the age of 18, he signed a record deal. He began recording an album in 2003, but the record label and Nugget disagreed on the direction of the project. The two disbanded and went there separate ways. More hardships began to surface as family trials began to brew. One again, Nugget used music as an escape and was noticed by underground producer Anthony Ajavon "Antmo" and writer Quadrae Mims "Flam Finesse." Together they have released countless tracks and have taken over the 2008 mixtape circuit.
Nugget is currently in discussion with signing to a few record labels, one being a very promising upcoming record label, Wisemen Entertainment. Which has currently signed the old school R&B group Force MD's, Zieme, and countless others.

Nugget has given a large proportion of his time back to the community and has particapated in numerous amounts of charity work in the New York Tri-State. He has particiapated in the Relay for Life, Council for Unity, etc. His commitment for the youth goes beyond music.
Nugget has been charitable throughout his career, attending community events and meetings, as well as cleaning up the local parks in communities.
Nugget is also affiliated with the charity Council for Unity, which focuses on promoting inter-group relations and reducing violence in schools and communities. By implementing school-based and after-school programs in leadership development, mentoring, career, college guidance and gang prevention, the Council fulfills its' mission of empowering individuals and groups with the skills necessary to promote unity, safety and achievement.
Nugget also contributes with the organization Relay for life which is a fundraising event of the American Cancer Society, and is now held in many other countries. It is an overnight event designed to spread awareness of cancer prevention, treatments and cures, celebrate survivorship and raise money for research to find more cures for cancer. Relay For Life is the world's largest fundraising walk.[1] In 2007, Relay For Life raised over $405 million.
