Lawrence Kindt

Lawrence Elliott Kindt (born: February 23, 1901, Kiona, Washington, United States - died: ) was a farmer economist and served as a Canadian federal politician from 1958 to 1968.
Kindt first ran for a seat in the Canadian House of Commons in the 1957 federal election. He was defeated by incumbent Ernest Hansell. Kindt would run again in the 1958 federal election. He would defeat Hansell to win his first term in office. Kindt would run for re-election in the 1962 federal election defeating 3 other candidates to win his 2nd term in office. Parliament would be dissolved a year later and Kindt would run for re-election again in the 1963 federal election. He would win by a comfortable margin to earn his 3rd term if office. Kindt was re-elected once more in the 1965 federal election. He retired from federal politics in 1968.
