[edit] Welcome

Hi, my name is Keith. I'm new to Wikipedia, so if you have any helpful advice or ideas, please feel free to leave me a a message.

Welcome Keith. I left you a message on the Paleo diet talk page. --WayneMokane (talk) 15:07, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
One random thing I like doing is going through the list of new pages, finding the obvious junk/spam ones, and marking them for speedy deletion. This is a good way to get practice with templates, tags, etc. and gives the same satisfactions as house cleaning but with less effort :) --WayneMokane (talk) 16:40, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
You may have to show me a specific article so I can check. Usually this type of thing is accomplished with templates (the things between
{{...}}
in the source) . If you ever see it in an article, just go to the Edit screen to see the source. From that you should be able to figure out what template they are using to display the information. Usually common articles share a template. For instance, there is a common "City" template that may show a map image, population figure, name, coordinates, etc. These are all given as parameters to the template in the article source, and rendered into the nice pretty box in the article. You can always experiment with templates in the sandbox to see how they work. --WayneMokane (talk) 20:12, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
