[edit] About

[edit] Punishment to Miss Trunchbull
Lavender has once delivered some punishment to the Trunchbull. Midway through the book, Lavender is given the job of giving the Trunchbull water in her "famous" jugs. When Lavender gets home, she goes to the pond in her backyard and catches a newt - with great difficulty. The next day, as soon as lunch, Lavender fills the jug up with water and slips the newt in the jug. Matilda is blamed for it instead. Later in the book, Lavender is described as "feeling a bit guilty" by the author.
