[edit] Granularity of Updates
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like this template is updated WAY too often. Especially as we get closer to launch, is there really a big difference between launch being 2 days away and 47 hours? And even right now, I'd consider 9 days too far away for this template to apply... I know there's only a few STS missions left, but I would like to see this standardized. How about fixing it to week, 3 days, 1 day, 12 hours, 6 hours, 1 hour? Anything more than that and how much more helpful is the template? —Fumo7887 (talk • contribs) 14:51, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hi! Are you asking about modifying the {{Launching/Count}} template, which is transcluded by the {{Launching}} template, which is transcluced by {{Launching/STS}} to automatically calculate the remaining time until launch? The syntax of that template is somewhat intricate, but it looks to me like it is fairly self-documenting. If you feel up to it, you could add a granularity parameter to {{Launching/Count}}.... - I didn't realize this was already automatic. I was assuming incorrectly that people were going in and manually editing the template at rediculous intervals just to "make their mark." Knowing it's calculated eliminates this theory. Thanks! Didn't realize this was done a few levels deep. —Fumo7887 (talk • contribs) 06:09, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
