This article contains information regarding a space mission that may imminently be scheduled to launch, or currently be in the process of doing so. Details may change as the countdown and ascent progress. Launch details: NASA has launched Space Shuttle Discovery from LC-39A at KSC on mission STS-124, carrying the second component of the Kibo laboratory to the ISS. The crew of this mission is Mark E. Kelly, Kenneth Ham, Karen L. Nyberg, Ronald J. Garan, Jr., Michael E. Fossum and Akihiko Hoshide. Gregory Chamitoff will also be launched as part of the ISS Expedition 17 crew.
