[edit] Multiple edits to open

The cause of the multiple string of edits was due to one of the references being blocked ant then putting the page together small part at a time to find it. That's a new one to me! VigilancePrime (talk) 23:15, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD

This AfD is ridiculous. But, let's look at it logically. Comparing reality "stars" to reality "stars"... Laurel has a basic one-page article with five references and three external links. She has been a major player in the Kid Nation show and appeared in every episode (actually, featured in every episode). Contrasting that with Earl Cole, Andria "Dreamz" Herd, and Yau-Man Chan, all from the reality show Survivor: Fiji. Cole has an equally short article with only one reference and no external links (even though he won!), Dreamz has five references and one external link in a slightly larger article (at least enough to not be deemed a stub), and Yau-Man, who has the most descriptive article (and was probably the best of these contestants from the few episodes I caught that season), runs with four references and two external links. So, I wonder, how are any of these three notable and Laurel is not? While each of these Survivor contestants is notable solely for that appearance, Laurel (using her as an example as she is the strongest candidate for a Wiki article of the ones created thus far) has performed in other major productions (not nationally, but locally/regionally). And it's referenced. Really I would think that this article, though still growing and expanding, would serve as the model for Kid Nation individual pages for whoever ends up "deserving" them. Just a thought. VigilancePrime (talk) 11:46, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Something to consider as part of this inquiry: User:Pak21 appears to have exited the scene at least temporarily. The revision history on his talk page shows a protected edit. Just an FYI. DoubleVibro (talk) 21:41, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
(I have no idea what that actually means... or, rather, ho idea how that applies... can you expound on that a little for those of us who are a little dense?) VigilancePrime (talk) 21:48, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
The user that seems to have a problem with the article has removed himself from the project. IMHO that should remove the problem with the article as well.DoubleVibro (talk) 04:06, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
I meant the "protected edit" part. Anyway, I agree (and I'm glad to see him on a break... he obviously needed it) but I want it to conclude as it will not end in delete (it didn't last time in spite of the POV-admin that deleted the pages contrary to consensus) and that AfD "win" will bolster the article's future survivability. Generally, once an article survives an AfD, it's virtually untouchable through a new AfD process. VigilancePrime (talk) 05:13, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
No problem. I will stand down on this particular argument. DoubleVibro (talk) 18:30, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
I appreciate your help in this whole issue and continued support of the article. VigilancePrime (talk) 20:14, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
