Laurie Goulding

Laurie Goulding is a British independent filmmaker, musician and film studies teacher. He is the founder and principal director of the independent film company ShroudFilm and also provides educational consultancy services in his field for schools and colleges in and around Derbyshire.

His film style is often described as paying homage to silent-era or German expressionist cinema, in his use of exaggerated framing or lighting.

His musical output (most of which has been released under the pseudonym The Commissar) ranges from industrial metal to satirical punk rock, and often features in his film work.
