[edit] Background
Stolarz grew up in Salem, Massachusetts, a city widely known for the Salem witch trials of 1692, the influence of which can be seen in the magical and witchcraft/Wiccan elements of her books.[1] She attended Merrimack College and later Emerson College, both in Massachusetts.[1]
[edit] Career
Stolarz found sales success with her first novel, Blue is for Nightmares, and followed it up with three more titles in the series, White is for Magic, Silver is for Secrets, and Red is for Remembrance. The four novels in the series have sold over 500,000 copies collectively.[2] Stolarz published Bleed in September 2006 and a companion novel, Project 17, in December 2007. Stolarz has stated that her next project will be a series of suspense novels, starting with Deadly Little Secret in fall 2008. She is also writing Black is for Beginnings, a graphic companion novel to her successful Blue is for Nightmares series; it will also be available in the fall of 08. [3]
