Laurent Chambon

Laurent Chambon (born May 22, 1972 in Châtenay-Malabry France) is a French sociologist and politicologist living in Amsterdam since 1998. Specialist of the question of minorities in politics, he has been elected in the borough of Amsterdam Oud-Zuid for the Dutch Labour Party (Partij van de Arbeid) in march 2006[1]. He is the only non-Dutch European politician in the Netherlands.

Co-fonder of the minority-related website Minorites.org, he is quite visible, as sociologist and as politician, in the French media to talk about the Netherlands, and in the Dutch media to talk about the French situation. He is co-founder of the collective website Minorites.org.

He is also DJ and musician, one half of Laurent & Lewis.
