Laurence Braude

Laurence Braude is a U/17 Socceroo and an Australian Footballer. Laurence was born in Randwick, Sydney. Laurence played for many junior representative football teams including Maccabi, and Sydney University and represented New South Wales in the National Futsal Titles. For his schooling he attended The Emanuel School a Jewish Day School in Randwick. He then went on to play for NSW Premier League side Sutherland in 2003 before being selected for the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Football academy in 2006. He had a short training stint with the professional club Sydney FC. Laurence then received a very big offer with a 4 year contract to sign with Israeli and European Champions League club Maccabi Haifa. Laurence declined the offer, to finish his HSC.
After deciding to focus on his footballing career at the AIS, he experienced his first international game, representing Australia in the Youth Olympics, in January 2007.
