Laurein (Italian: Lauregno) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 45 km north of Trento and about 20 km west of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 360 and an area of 14.2 km².[1]

Laurein borders the following municipalities: Brez, Cagnò, Castelfondo, Cloz, Proveis, Revò, St. Pankraz and Ulten.
