Laure Olga Gondjout

Laure Olga Gondjout has been the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Gabon since February 2008.

Goudjout was appointed Minister Delegate to the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Jean Ping, in the government of Prime Minister Jean Eyeghe Ndong, named on January 21, 2006.[1][2] After nearly two years in that position, she was appointed as Minister of Communication, Posts, Telecommunications, and New Information Technologies in the government named on December 28, 2007.[2][3] Soon afterwards, Jean Ping was elected Chairperson of the Commission of the African Union, and on February 4, 2008 Gondjout was appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs to replace him.[2] She took office as Foreign Minister on February 6.[3]
