Laura Warshauer is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from northern New Jersey. Currently signed by Island Records, her debut album is expected for a 2008 release.[1] Warshauer's sound could be described as a blend of pop, rock n’ roll and folk. She was personally signed by Island Records CEO LA Reid in 2007.[citation needed]

Laura began playing guitar at age 12[2] and has studied with Carlos Alomar (David Bowie's guitarist) and voice with guru Don Lawrence whose clients included Bono, Mick Jagger, and Christina Aguilera.[1]
She released an independent album in 2003.[1] Her major-label debut, tentatively entitled Such a Lonely Place,[2] is scheduled for a 2008 release.
Warshauer is currently managed and represented by Media Five Entertainment, whose roster included successful national acts Live, Fuel, and Breaking Benjamin. [2]
