Laura Ward is the mayor of Eustace, Texas.[1]

She was arrested on September 23, 2007 following an altercation with another woman which occurred in nearby Gun Barrel City, Texas.[2] She was subsequently charged with aggravated assault causing bodily injury, a Class B felony. In November 2007, during the city's monthly town council meeting, many constituents called for her resignation.[2] She has 3 biological children and 1 adopted child (her niece).[2]
