Laura Sippola

Laura-Liina Sippola (b. 14th September 1974 in Lapua) is a pianist and a singer-songwriter based in Helsinki, Finland.
She works as a freelancer musician and a composer. In 2004 she published her debut album Sahara. Sippola won the first price in Saimaan Sävel competition by composing the song "Kaunis mieli". Song has been recorded by Johanna Kurkela and Sippola herself.
Sippola hosted the popular Laulutupa club in Helsinki during 2006-2007 with her group &Tuki, where are played the top Finnish jazz musicians. She has also composed a cappella music for Rajaton and Club For Five. Her music has been recorded also by Laura Malmivaara and Jonna Järnefelt.
Sippola is gifted with perfect pitch. She has graduated from the Sibelius Academy and is preparing for artistic Ph.D in her studies. [1]
