Laura Hill (born 1975) is a New Zealand actress, best known for portraying the popular character Toni Thompson/Warner on the New Zealand soap opera, Shortland Street. Born in England, she moved to New Zealand as a young child with her family.
Laura has a 1st Class Honours degree in English Literature from Victoria University of Wellington, where she also majored in Theatre and Film.
While in Wellington, Laura was involved in fringe theatre, performing in productions of Purple Frog and The Daily Grind.
She gained television acting experience in Duggan and Questions, a TV drama developed from a stage play dealing with youth suicide. She also worked in radio and at Playmarket, the scriptwriter's agency, before joining Shortland Street in early 2001. Laura recently performed in Auckland Theatre Company's acclaimed production of the new Roger Hall play, Spreading Out.
