Laura Bravo, more commonly known as Lori Bravo (born May 16, 1966) is an avant garde musician, painter and photographer, from Glendale, Arizona. She was formerly the singer and bassist with death metal pioneers Nuclear Death, but is currently performing with her side project, "Raped". Bravo was responsible for the artwork from all Nuclear Death releases after Phil Hampson (guitarist, main music composer and artwork artist of the band up to the second LP) left the band, and also worked on the artwork for other bands such as Terrorthrone's Demo/CD Sick Obsession to Pain. Lori Bravo has since released her first solo album, entitled I'd Marry The Devil and is working on artwork for New Zealand zine Vomitose, as well as artwork for a book of poetry by Dan King. Lori Bravo now performs under her own name but still uses Raped as the collective name of the musicians who back her.
Bravo describes herself thus:
- I am the Dark Lady....A Descendant of the Countess Bathory in heart and a Punk in my soul. I am dirty and faithless...sainted and pure...I am...Saint Althea.
