Laura Boersma

Laura Boersma (born November 4, 1978) is an American film producer best known for 2008's Lie to Me.

As a founding partner of Steele Films, producer Laura Boersma utilizes her unique skills to ensure that every production runs on time and under budget while continually seeking out and creating important and entertaining film work. After graduating from Loyola Marymount University with honors, Laura put those skills to use forming Steele Films in the summer of 2000. Since then, Laura has produced a wide variety of live action and animated commercials in addition to many other film productions, from features to documentaries. In addition to the feature film Lie to Me, she recently helped to produce Prom Queen, the first internet video series funded by Michael Eisner’s new company, Vuguru. When not producing, Laura is a prolific screenwriter. She is also an active member of Women in Film, The National Association For Female Executives and Film Independent of Los Angeles.
