Description
English: Laurel River Lake in Corbin County, Kentucky, USA. The lake is impounded behind Laurel River Dam on the Laurel River, a tributary of the Cumberland River. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers completed the dam in in 1974. The dam provides hydroelectric power generation, recreation, and flood control on the Laurel and Cumberland Rivers. The lake is said to be one of the deepest, cleanest lakes in Kentucky.
