The result of the debate was PAGE MOVED by Beardo a few days ago. I'm going ahead and delisting it and closing this survey, because it's been nearly five days without comment. If someone comes along later with objections to the move, we can talk about it then. -GTBacchus(talk) 06:13, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Requested move

I propose changing the name of this article to the grammatically correct Latino Studies. --evrik 18:21, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Disagree Latino Studies is not the same as Chicano Studies. Reason being, Latino Studies serves as an umbrella for distinct types of ethnic studies like Chicano Studies but also Puerto Rican Studies, Dominican American Studies, etc. Subsuming this page into Chicano studies would then push out the other Central American, Latin American and Caribbean Latino Groups that can be included under the pan-ethnic term Latino. Please see the variety of university programs listed on this page. I recommend leaving the page as is but including a link to Chicano Studies as a related field. --February 28, 2008 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.223.191.44 (talk) 00:21, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
