Latvian Farmers' Union

The Latvian Farmers' Union (Latvijas Zemnieku savienība) is an centre agrarian political party in Latvia. Founded in 1917 it was most influential right wing political party between World Wars, at the period of first independence. Resumed in 1990 from 2002 it is part of the Union of Greens and Farmers (Zaļo un Zemnieku savienība) coalition that won 9.5 % of the popular vote and 12 out of 100 seats in the 2002 elections, and 18 seats in the 2006 elections.
