Trumpeters are a family of perciform fishes, Latridae. They are found in southern waters off Australia, New Zealand, and Chile, where they are fished commercially and for sport.

There are five species in three genera.
- Genus Latridopsis
- Blue moki, Latridopsis ciliaris (Forster, 1801).
- Bastard trumpeter, Latridopsis forsteri (Castelnau, 1872).
- Genus Latris
- Latris hecateia Richardson, 1839.
- Striped trumpeter, Latris lineata (Forster, 1801).
- Genus Mendosoma
- Telescope fish, Mendosoma lineatum (Forster, 1801).
